Robert Legrand, PE
Bob Legrand earned an M.S. in Agronomy/Agricultural Engineering from the University of Ghent in Belgium and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from Cornell University. This was a long time ago, so what matters more is that he has 35 years of experience in environmental engineering, including a P.E. license in Chemical Engineering in two states. Besides site investigations and treatability studies, Bob designs and operates remediation systems for soil and groundwater contaminated by a wide variety of contaminants such as chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, metals, sulfate, perchlorate, and other substances seemingly discarded over the years to create new and exciting challenges for environmental engineers. He uses physical, chemical, and biological remediation approaches, in situ and ex situ, with a special love for coaxing microbes to clean up our messes. When he is not working, Bob can usually be found hiking the Colorado Rockies with his wife Annie.
