Dr. Dora S.-Y. Chiang
Director of Emergent Contaminants
Dr. Chiang is Director of Emerging Contaminants in the Global Remediation Service Practice Area group at AECOM. She holds a Ph.D. from Georgia Institute of Technology and has 17 years of consulting experience in the areas of contaminated site investigation and remediation. She serves as a global resource for selecting, designing and implementing remediation systems for soil, sediment, and groundwater contaminated with petroleum compounds, chlorinated solvents, emerging contaminants and metals for federal, industrial, commercial and state projects. Dr. Chiang has collaborated with academia to develop and demonstrate innovative remedial technologies for several emerging contaminants, including 1,4-dioxane, perfluorinated compounds, nanoparticles, chlorinated propanes and organochlorine pesticides. In addition, she works collaboratively with senior management to assess and determine the firm’s position in global contaminated site cleanup and closure and oversees strategic initiatives.
